The Athens Track Officials Association : Provide training and start-up equipment for Track Officials to prepare them for fair and equal competition of OHSAA Track Athletes.

The Athens Track Official's association was founded in 1976 comprising of 5 original members. Rick Essex President, Roger Hosler Vice President, Larry Block Rules interpreter , Dave Jenkins Secretary/Treasurer, and Member Bert Devo. The Association has continued to grow and serve Southeast Ohio is now comprised of 34 members. The association began hosting the Best of the Southeast 7-8th Grade OHSAA State qualifying meet to provide a training/mentoring opportunity for new officials and to raise money for Scholarships for track athletes of the East and Southeast Districts.
